About the Langley Thunder
The Langley Thunder plays in the Western Lacrosse Association (Senior A) Lacrosse. The franchise is owned and run by the Buchan family (Ken Sr & Jr, Rob) and plays the home games in the fabulous Langley Events Centre.

Home games are most Wednesday nights at 7:45 PM from May 12th until the end of July. Playoffs begin in August leading to the oldest and most valuable trophy in Canada – the Mann Cup.

The team is made up of the best local talent. Local stars include Langley players Garrett Billings (2009 WLA Rookie of the year, 2009 WLA 1st team all-star) and Kyle Belton. The Thunder team notables include Joe Bell (New West native, 2009 WLA 1st team all-star goalie & WLA goalie of the year), Rob Van Beek (2009 WLA 2nd team all-star). Other stars include Stephan Leblanc, Mike Grimes, Matt Leveque, Kevin Crosswell, & Alex Turner. The players are employed locally and play the game for the love of the sport & fans.

The Thunder team is built on an exciting offense, stingy tough defense, and a sense of family. The coaching staff (Randy Delmonico, Shaun Springett, & John Wilson) teaches an exciting style of play that has earned them the WLA, BC Lacrosse Coaches Association, and BC Lacrosse Association’s 2009 Coach of the year award.
